National Apprentice & Industrial Training Authority (NAITA) provides training under the apprenticeship scheme. There are abut 150 craft training courses operating under 22 vocational fields and you are able to enter into any vocational training filed according to your educational level. In addition you could follow any vocational training course in any other field under the situational and Village Level Scheme. In 1971, National Apprentice Board (NAB) was established to co-ordinate and regulates enterprise based apprenticeships. 

NAITA operates district offices in Ratnapura, Kegalle, Kurunegala, Puttalam, Hambantota, Galle, Matara, Matale, Kandy, Moneragala, Badulla, AnuradhaPura, Polonnaruwa, Colombo, Kalutara, Ampara, Jaffna, Gampaha, Nuwara Eliya, Trincomalee, Batticaloa, Vavuniya, and Mannar Districts. Institute of Engineering Technology, Automobile Engineering Training Institute, and Apprenticeship Training Institute are also belongs to NAITA.
